Youth ages 12-15 will be accepted first. Those age 10 and 11 will be put on a waiting list since certificates can’t be activated until they turn 12. Anyone born after July 1, 1987, or who is 16 years or older can complete the ATV safety online course at ATVcourse.com (and pay all necessary fees online) to meet certification requirements. Anyone 16 and older is not required to attend the ATV Safety Hands-On class.
All students attending a hands-on class will need to bring with them a working ATV that properly fits the child and is in safe operating condition.
Parents/guardians will not be able to attend the classroom portion, nor the pre-trip inspection or driving course. They are welcome to stay in the parking lot after unloading the ATV, or can leave and return when the class is finished.
