Community Corrections
Community Corrections works to address the characteristics of offenders that lead to recidivism. To that end, it works with
- Community groups
- Criminal justice system stakeholders
- Schools
- Rice County Social Services
- Victim services agencies
- Youth service agencies
As a Community Corrections Act county, it serves juvenile and adult probationers as well as offenders who are released from Minnesota prisons. The department takes an evidence-based approach to supervision, focusing its efforts on high-risk offenders and those with the most critical needs.
