Emergency Preparedness Advisory Council

The Emergency Preparedness Council began in 1988. This group's membership represents the county's emergency management providers and first responders. It meets quarterly and is supported administratively by Rice County Public Health.

The council ensures coordination among providers and assesses EMS needs in the county. The council also functions in an advisory capacity to the Public Health department's emergency preparedness planning efforts.

  • 7-9 p.m.
  • Second Wednesday of January, April, July and October

Members

The council includes representatives from Rice County law enforcement, fire/rescue services, emergency medical/ambulance services, first responders, hospitals, health care, emergency management, townships, the Public Health department, the Rice County Board of Commissioners, Minnesota Board of Animal Health and resident representatives.
